Better information systems — VPEC-T (contd.)

The VPEC-T mindmap

As I read the book and worked on this article, I used my usual tool for understanding new ideas and thinking through their implications: I built a mindmap.

You can download this as a MindManager .mmap file, or a .jpg image. The book covers many areas that I have not discussed here, as does the mindmap, though naturally in less detail.

Click the image to view a larger version.

You can download the MindManager .mmap file itself from this link. See below for how to get a free MindManager viewer. You'll need this to see the notes attached to many of the map's nodes.

Feel free to use the large image or mmap file in your own work, but please do not publish them except by the above thumbnail image, with a link to this page, or the front page of this article. Thank you.

A note: Mindjet, the publishers of MindManager, provide a free viewer for mmap files. You can get it here. In fact it's the full version of Mind Manager which gives you 30 days to try it out, and when the trial period is over it blocks the editing functions and becomes a read-only viewer for as long as you want to keep it.

How can we keep the focus on the business? ⇒
