Clustering is an exercise that results in a diagram similar or identical to a bubble diagram but it may lack relationship lines. It clusters similar or related items, and relationships may be shown by proximity instead.
A popular way of making them – perhaps the easiest of all for idea/information mapping – is by using Post-it notes, stuck to a wall or whiteboard, where related items are kept close to one another in groups. You can move things around easily as your thinking develops.
