What they say[edit]

“Create outlines for whatever you want…

How much will I end up paying?

You won’t have to pay a thing to use LooseStitch. It is absolutely free. We plan to keep it this way for as long as we can, so we want you to get really hooked to using LooseStitch and if this is the only outliner you will use that would give us the kick we need to continue supporting it.

Is there a limit to how many outlines I can create?

Create as many documents as you wish, invite as many friends as you want. It will still be free. No down payments, no monthly installments. Zilch.

What browsers do you support?

We have built LooseStitch using Firefox and Safari, and have redone the interface to also work on the iPhone. It’s really cool. Check it out if you have an iPhone. We have found that it does not work with Internet Explorer. We are currently working (very hard) to add support for Internet Explorer, so stay tuned for an update that will support this browser. It may work with other browsers but we aren’t sure. If you find anything that you feel needs our attention, please send us your feedback. It will help us improve LooseStitch for everyone.

I have outlines created in other applications. Can I use these with LooseStitch?

Absolutely. LooseStitch uses the industry standard OPML file format to import and export outlines that can be used by programs like Omni Outliner. So if you have created outlines outside of LooseStitch, you can very easily set one up online by importing your existing file, with the assurance that you can always carry your work back to your outliner of choice.

Do I have to use LooseStitch while I am online or can I use it even when I am not connected to the Internet?

You know what? Even we were surprised to find that we could in fact use LooseStitch while we were offline! So next time you are rushing out to attend that tree-house meeting, do this. Create your outline in LooseStitch when you are connected to the Internet, then go attend that meeting and jot down all your notes, ideas, minutes, even if you are offline. When you come online again just click Save. Done. Invite all those who attended the meeting and they have access to your notes immediately. No emailing necessary, no attachments required.”

Can’t use it with IE (as at July 2007).
