Are Topicscape Upgrades free?

"I'm thinking of buying Topicscape. What happens when you upgrade? Will the upgrade be free?"

Enhancements to the version you buy are free and 'version' is interpreted broadly. If you buy version 2.0, enhancements are free (except academic versions) until 3.0 is released, when an upgrade payment will be required. Of course, 2.n will still continue to function as before when 3.0 is released.
